What’s the process for getting dental implants completed?

Our journey starts off with a comprehensive exam with all your teeth, gums and jaws. Photos, radiographs and something known as a Cone Beam scan are all used to determine the bone and the gum condition. The next step is to take an impression of your mouth, which allows us to make a replica of your teeth and gums. After we have decided you are suitable for a dental implant, discussion occurs over what sedation options exist. These include: No Sedation, A tablet 1 hour before treatment to relax your jaws, IV sedation at our clinic, or General anaesthetic at a hospital. On the day of your dental implant placement you will be asked to come in for approximately 1 to 2 hours depending on the complexity of your surgery.
